Zack Rowe is a musician and video artist currently residing in Portland OR. Originally from the East Bay in California he is a graduate from CSU Monterey Bay’s Cinematic Arts & Technology program. In late 2015 He formed an experimental music group with Francisco Botello under the moniker SHARON. The duo explored genres such as footwork, glitch and ambient music and performed several shows around Portland. Currently his solo project Bathwater is focused on hybrid sample-based collages produced through various resampling workflows and techniques such as granular synthesis. His work with digital video has examined the extremes of superimposition and juxtaposition made possible by montage as well as the malleability of the digital image. Lately, he has begun to incorporate long durational nature-based cinematography into his video art.
